Eligible products may be returned within 30 calendar days after the date of delivery. For international orders, the return window begins on the delivery date—not the order or dispatch date.
This voluntary return policy does not restrict any mandatory withdrawal, warranty, conformity, or consumer rights available under applicable law.
To qualify for a return, the product must be returned in substantially the same condition in which it was received, with all supplied parts, accessories, manuals, warranty cards, serial-number labels, and original packaging.
You may inspect a product as reasonably necessary to establish its nature, characteristics, and functioning. We may deduct an amount for diminished value caused by handling beyond what is reasonably necessary, where permitted by law.
The following items are not eligible for change-of-mind returns once the relevant seal has been broken, performance has begun with consent, or the item has been made to the customer’s specification, except where the item is defective or applicable law requires otherwise:
Submit the return-request form on this page before sending the product. We will review the request and normally email return instructions within 2 business days.
Do not send a product until you receive return instructions and a return reference. Unauthorized parcels may be delayed or returned to the sender.
Approved returns may be sent using the carrier specified in the return instructions or delivered to our Leipzig store after approval. The return address will be provided with the authorization.
For change-of-mind returns, the customer is responsible for return shipping and any loss or damage in transit. For a verified defective, damaged, or incorrect item, Fotohaus Klinger will provide a prepaid method or reimburse reasonable standard return-shipping costs.
We do not charge a restocking fee for eligible returns. Lawful deductions may apply for diminished value, missing parts, damaged packaging beyond necessary inspection, or unreturned promotional items.
After receipt and inspection, we will notify you whether the return is approved. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method without undue delay and normally within 14 days after approval. Where permitted by law, we may withhold the refund until we receive the goods or evidence that they were sent back.
If the purchase was paid by bank transfer, we may request the account details needed to return the funds securely. Processing time at your bank or card provider is outside our control.
For a valid statutory withdrawal, the least-expensive standard outbound delivery charge will be refunded where required by law. Premium delivery upgrades, customs duties, import taxes, and third-party bank charges are not refundable unless required by law or caused by our error.
If a product arrives damaged, defective, incomplete, or different from what you ordered, contact us promptly and include clear photographs of the product, serial number, and packaging where possible. Reporting transit damage within 48 hours helps us pursue the carrier, but does not reduce mandatory legal rights.
We may offer repair, replacement, price reduction, or refund as appropriate under applicable law and the circumstances.
We normally process exchanges as a return followed by a new order so availability, pricing, and payment remain accurate.
To cancel an order before dispatch, contact us immediately. Once dispatched, the return process applies.
International customers are responsible for correctly declaring returned goods and for any export documentation. Marking a parcel as returned merchandise does not guarantee exemption from customs charges.
Customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, and similar government or third-party charges are not refundable by Fotohaus Klinger unless we collected them directly and applicable law requires a refund.
