Product highlights and buying context
Mix and record with this Fotohaus Klinger Kit, which combines the Yamaha TF5 Digital Mixing Console with the Tio 1608-D2 Dante-equipped I/O rack and the NY64-D Dante I/O expansion card to create a turnkey digital mixing package well suited for a multitude of live sound reinforcement scenarios and studio applications.
The Yamaha TF5 is a rack-mountable digital audio mixing console that features a touchscreen display, 33 motorized faders, and is expandable up to 48 input channels by adding the optional Tio1608-D I/O rack. Ideal for a multitude of live sound reinforcement scenarios, the TF5 can also be used for live recording, offering 34 x 34 channel digital recording and playback via USB 2.0 using a computer and your preferred DAW software, and 2 x 2 channel recording and playback using any USB storage device.
The TF5 console itself provides 32 analog XLR/TRS combo mic/line inputs with 48V phantom power, as well as 2 analog RCA stereo line inputs, and 16 analog XLR outputs. Each combo input channel features a recallable D-PRE microphone preamp, as well EQ and two dynamics processors. In addition, the console offers eight powerful FX processors with patches ranging from reverb and delay, to modulation effects such as flanger and chorus, to utility processing like 3-band multi-band compression. The TF5 ships with Steinberg's Nuendo Live for advanced multi-tracking and virtual sound check capabilities.
Simplify your live sound or studio setup with the Yamaha Tio1608-D2, a Dante-compatible I/O rack equipped with 16 mic/line inputs and 8 line outputs. It can control gain from TF Series and DM3 consoles remotely, allowing the construction of a simple stagebox system. The versatile Tio1608-D2 also supports 96k, making it perfect for use as an I/O rack in large installations with products such as the RIVAGE PM or DME7.
The Dante audio network standard is utilized in the DM3 and TF series as well as in the CL and QL digital mixers. These consoles can be freely combined with the Tio1608-D2 or an R series I/O rack to create a system that matches the required scale and budget. Patching can be enabled via “Dante Controller” while Remote HA can be controlled by “R Remote” software. The 2 RU Tio1608-D2 ships with standard IEC power cord and four rubber feet.
The Tio1608-D2 is the ideal stagebox for use with TF Series or DM3. The TF Series can use the optional NY64-D expansion card to connect to up to three Tio1608-D2 units, while DM3 can connect to a single unit. Connecting the console and Tio1608-D2 units with a lightweight, durable Cat 5e Ethernet cable in a daisy chain provides low-latency, high-quality sound transmission without the time-consuming transport and installation required when using analog snakes.
Dante has been adopted by leading manufacturers and professionals in the sound reinforcement industry for its low jitter, low latency, and high sampling accuracy. Using the Tio1608-D2, you can easily configure a high-performance Dante stagebox system with little or no IT networking knowledge. Thanks to the flexibility of the Dante network protocol, TF Series or DM3 can be connected to an extensive range of Dante-enabled equipment such as R Series I/O racks.
TF Series and DM3 are equipped with functions for automatic configuration of network settings and audio patching connections, making system configuration easy. After configuring the unit ID and QUICK CONFIG switches from the front panel of the Tio Rack, using the QUICK CONFIG function of the TF Series or the AUTO CONFIG function of the DM3 allows you to complete setup simply by connecting the console and Tio Rack with an Ethernet cable. Turn on the power and you're ready to go.
