The linear technology built into the MTB40S-UN eliminates intermodulation distortion for a more robust signal, extended range, and interference-free signals, even when several transmitters are used in close proximity. You can select between narrow-band mode (for increased sensitivity) or wideband mode for compatibility with legacy Wisycom receivers. This plug-on transmitter is designed to minimize power consumption and heat generation for greater comfort when worn or operated by hand. The transmitter sports numerous microphone-specific features, including a hardware limiter, P48 phantom power for condenser mics, 80 dB of adjustable gain, and quick setup via the OLED screen and five waterproof buttons. The MTB40S-UN requires two AA batteries for power (batteries sold separately).
The continuous shrinking spectrum has given Wisycom the opportunity to find new solutions and face the upcoming problems related to noise, interference, and reduced working bandwidth. The UN (Ultrasonic Narrowband) technology allows: * Absolute protection from ultrasonic interference (e.g. next-gen camera ranged trackers) thanks to a dedicated 70 dB filter * Narrowband operations, to operate using half of the bandwidth and have an extra 50% range * Commute by software to a wideband mode for compatibility with legacy Wisycom system
