The 74169 is made from a specially developed, American-made, high-density, military-grade S80 SonicFoam designed to eliminate wind noise, pop noises, and breath sounds. The open-cell SonicFoam permits the free passage of sound energy without altering the microphone's frequency response—making it acoustically transparent.
The durable 74169 also helps to protect your mic from dust, dampness, and physical damage. It even features a proprietary, water-repellent/wicking treatment on the outside that meets military-requirement standards—including, the 100-hour float test and 24-hour / 4g maximum water-absorption test.
The hypo-allergenic, polyurethane SonicFoam does not contain formaldehyde or other dangerous chemicals and is in compliance with California Proposition 65. This pack contains five 74169 windscreens.
