Offered here in a black finish, the Warm Audio WA-47jr SE is a large-diaphragm condenser microphone designed to deliver the tone and presence of iconic ‘47-style studio mics in a streamlined, cardioid-only format. Tailored for vocals, acoustic instruments, piano, drum overheads, and content-creation applications such as streaming or podcasting, the WA-47jr SE provides rich analog warmth, clear detail, and professional-grade sonics in a simplified package. Its fixed cardioid pattern offers precise directional pickup while minimizing room noise—ideal for untreated spaces or project studios.

At its core is a gold-sputtered, single-backplate K47-style capsule that faithfully reproduces the sound profile of legendary vintage microphones, with lush low end, smooth mids, and a pleasing top end. The fully discrete signal path features carefully selected components that contribute to its clean, low-noise performance and wide dynamic range. With a transformerless balanced XLR output and 48V phantom power operation, the WA-47jr SE integrates seamlessly into any studio or home recording setup. Each unit is hand-tested in Austin, Texas, and ships with a custom hard mount and premium leather storage pouch for safe transport and flexible positioning.

Custom Capsule

The WA-47jr SE features a single-backplate version of the acclaimed WA-47 K47-style capsule, designed to match the pattern and frequency response of the vintage original. The result is an authentic tonal character that adds warmth and presence without coloration.

Streamlined Performance

With a fixed cardioid polar pattern and modern circuit design, the WA-47jr SE offers a simplified yet powerful solution for achieving studio-quality sound. It excels at rejecting unwanted ambient noise while focusing tightly on the source in front of the mic.

Low Noise, Big Tone

Delivering exceptional dynamic range and ultra-low self-noise of just 9 dBA, the WA-47jr SE captures everything from soft acoustic nuances to loud vocal performances with clarity and accuracy.

Essential Accessories

The microphone includes a custom hard mount and a leather storage pouch, ensuring convenient setup and safe transport whether you're working in a professional studio or recording on the go.
