This Lightweight Baseplate from Vocas is designed to support a small to midsize camera for shoulder-mounted setups. The aluminum baseplate features 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 screws to secure your camera to the plate, and there is a VCT-14-type quick release plate on the bottom to mount the baseplate on a compatible plate or tripod. A soft shoulder pad installs on the bottom and contours to the operator's shoulder.
The baseplate includes a pair of 8.3" long 15mm rods inserted through the length of the baseplate and secured with a locking thumbscrew. The rod block is also height adjustable, so you can ensure accessories such as a follow focus are at the proper lens height. Cork pads on top of the plate protect your camera from scratches and prevent twisting.
