Venus Optics Laowa 180mm f/4.5 1.5x Ultra-Macro APO Lens (Sony E)

Telephoto Prime for Close-Up Shooting

Offering the unique mixture of a long-reach telephoto field of view with greater-than-life-size macro capabilities, the Venus Optics Laowa 180mm f/4.5 1.5x Ultra-Macro APO is built for capturing intricate details from both close-up and long distances.

1.5x Ultra-Macro Magnification

• Designed primarily as a macro lens, this telephoto touts an impressive 1.5:1 maximum magnification to render close-up subjects larger than life-size.
• Minimum focusing distance of 11.8", along with a minimum working distance of 5.8", makes it easier to photograph moving subjects and offers more room to properly light your subjects.

Apochromatic Telephoto

• Complementing the ability to render subjects at close range and with a high magnification, this lens also features an apochromatic optical design that limits color fringing and maintains high clarity and detail for accurate and dynamic imagery at both close-up and long-range focusing distances.

• Useful 180mm focal length offers a narrow field of view that's suitable for portraits and distant subjects, as well as for homing in on small details from a comfortable working distance.
• The f/4.5 maximum aperture strikes a balance between brightness and portability; the lens is bright enough for handheld shooting in daylight conditions while still remaining portable and lightweight for travel.

Compact, Intuitive Design

• Surprisingly small and light, this lens weighs just over 1 lb and measures 5.3" long, making it a portable and convenient option for a variety of shooting applications.
• An assignable Lens Function button on the side can be used to control different exposure and camera functions.
• Integrated USB-C port for firmware updates and this lens has electronic contacts on the mount for transferring lens data to the camera.
• Compatible with an optional lens support for more rigidity when working at high magnifications for critical sharpness.

Autofocus Support

This Sony E version of the lens has autofocus functionality for quick, seamless shooting at focusing distances longer than 4.9'—manual focus is required at closer focusing distances. To activate AF, set the focusing ring to the infinity point.
