Tokina Cinema Vista-P 40mm T1.5 Prime Lens (ARRI PL, Feet)

The ARRI PL mount Tokina Cinema Vista-P 40mm T1.5 Prime Lens provides a lower-contrast look with strong spherical distortion that creates a Petzval-type effect with swirly bokeh. Its large image circle more than covers full-frame digital and film sensors and is designed for up to 8K capture. It features a fast T1.5 maximum T-stop for shooting in low-light settings or for creating shallow depth of field looks.

This 40mm T1.5 PL mount prime lens features a 46.7mm image circle that covers standard-sized full-frame digital or film camera sensors. Covered formats include VistaVision and 65mm digital.

The Vista-P primes are designed to produce near-zero focus breathing—variations in the angle of view that can occur while focusing, a phenomenon especially important to avoid in static shots.

This 40mm lens shares the same form factor, 0.8 MOD lens gear position, focus rotation, and 114mm front outside diameter as the other Tokina Cinema Vista-P primes, enabling fast, efficient lens changes when using a matte box or FIZ (focus/iris/zoom) controls. The focus barrel features approximately 300º of rotation for smooth, accurate focus pulls.

Each Vista-P prime lens is designed to minimize focus breathing and incorporates 0.8 MOD geared focus and iris rings. Markings on both sides of the lens barrel make it readable from either side of the camera.
