The WTU-4800-AM from TOA is a UHF wireless tuner module designed for use with TOA WT-4820 dual-channel receiver. It is a PLL-synthesizer controlled, double superheterodyne diversity tuner module developed to deliver stable wireless reception when used in conjunction with compatible TOA UHF wireless equipment.

The WTU-4800 employs a compressor-expander system noise reduction circuit that minimizes the influence of ambient RF noise, helping to maintain clear and reliable audio performance. Its double superheterodyne diversity design supports consistent signal reception in demanding wireless environments.

This tuner module is designed for use with the TOA WT-4820 dual-channel diversity tuner. The WT-4820 can accept up to two WTU-4800 modules, enabling dual-channel operation. When multiple tuner units are connected, antenna outputs allow additional tuner units to be linked, expanding the system to a maximum of four channels without requiring extra antenna mixers or distributors.

The WTU-4800 features a front-loading modular design that allows installation or replacement, even after the host tuner is rack mounted.
