The 82mm, 1/4-density Antique Pearlescent Filter from Tiffen creates a soft, pleasing atmospheric glow, along with a mild desaturation of colors and gentle creamy halation. This makes it ideal for period pieces or to create the look of a warm summer afternoon.
The filter features glass optics and an aluminum ring threaded on both sides. It's made using the ColorCore process, which laminates the filter substrate between two pieces of optical glass, and then grinds and polishes them to a precise tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch of flatness.
