Tiffen 4.5" Round Bronze Glimmerglass 5 Filter

The 4.5" Round Bronze Glimmerglass 5 Filter from Tiffen is a part of a series of diffusion filters to support the theory that when you "look good", you "feel good." People always want to look their best. And, they want to look even better in pictures. With the addition of bronze tint, here's another way Tiffen makes that happen.

When production starts and people see the filter "glittering" on the front of the lens, they become more confident in the knowledge that the filter is working for them and, hopefully, they may also turn in a better performance. It's like holding up a mirror to your subject. The added benefit of a "bronze glow" around the highlights adds an element of glamour to the shot - with your subject reaping the rewards of diffusion. The effect of the lighter grades is subtle, with the higher grades becoming gradually more noticeable - all capable of providing a beautiful image.

The Glimmerglass is the First Series of Filters with a "Psychological Edge"

The Glimmerglass softens fine details in a unique manner, while adding a mild glow to highlights; as contrast is also reduced, the look is one of enhanced beauty

The filter is both effective to look at as well as to look through

The glass itself has a distinct silver sparkle, which has been found to be doubly useful

Tiffen Bronze Glimmerglass filters are available in grades 1-5 with 5 having the greatest effect

Tiffen's ColorCore glass is produced through a process that entails permanently laminating the filter material in between two pieces of optical glass that are ground flat to tolerances of a ten-thousandth of an inch, then mounting them in precision aluminum rings

The ColorCore process allows Tiffen to control the color and density of their filters, and the characteristics of special effects filters with much greater accuracy than typical dyed-in-the-mass filters, which usually exhibit color and density variations. In this way, Tiffen can better control the various densities of their filters and thereby create more exact degrees of filtration

Tiffen, a leader in the filter industry, proudly makes its filters in the USA and backs up its products with a solid 10-year warranty
