StarTech Dual-Bay 3.5/2.5" SATA Drive Duplicator

The tray-less and tool-less Dual-Bay 3.5/2.5" SATA Drive Duplicator from StarTech not only functions as a standalone drive duplicator, but may also be used as an external drive dock. For standalone duplication, it features two SATA III drive slots, one of which is for the source drive and the other of which is for the target drive, with data transfer speeds of up to 28GB per minute. SATA III, II, and I interfaces are supported, as are 2.5" and 3.5" form factors. When used as a drive dock, it connects to your host system using a 10 Gb/s USB-B 3.2 Gen 2 interface. Also featured are power and status multi-functional LEDs. Included are USB-B to USB-C and USB-B to USB-A cables, plus a universal power adapter.

This dual-bay hard drive duplicator features standalone drive cloning of 2.5" and 3.5" SATA drives with no computer required. When connected to your host system via USB, it can be used as a docking station so you can access your drives and their content.

Standalone sector-by-sector copying works with most file formats and copies the entire drive, including empty sectors, at speeds up to 28GB per minute. Please note that the target disk must be equal to or larger than the source disk.

The duplicator dock comes with two USB cables for flexible use with laptops and tablets equipped with a USB-C port, as well as legacy devices. It includes both USB-B to USB-C and USB-B to USB-A cables. The duplicator dock is also compatible with Thunderbolt 3 ports.

The dock features a top-loading, toaster-style design that makes it easy to insert your drives. It also features drive doors to help stabilize drives that are inserted into the slot and prevent foreign objects from getting into the drive slots. Both tool-less and tray-less, the duplicator dock helps to ensure quick and hassle-free drive insertions. LED indicators let you know, at a glance, the current state of the duplication process, including the specific duplication mode, the HDD status and clone progress. The HDD ejection button enables fast and simple drive removal.

For added compatibility with different drive types in duplication and docking applications, the use of various drive adapters is supported, including SATA to 2.5" or 3.5" IDE, 2.5" SATA to Mini SATA SSD, and M.2 SSD to 2.5" SATA.
