Product highlights and buying context
Designed to hold up to six fishing poles with their reels attached plus some tackle, the SKB iSeries 4217 Wheeled Ice Fishing Case features a custom interior to securely hold your gear. This case is IP67-rated dust and waterproof, as well as resistant to ultraviolet (UV) light, chemical solvents, corrosion, and even fungus. An automatic pressure equalization valve maintains the dust and waterproof rating while equalizing the interior pressure to the ambient outside pressure, so you can open the case after air travel.
The injection-molded case is constructed from polypropylene copolymer resin and is highly resistant to impacts. It features molded-in hinges, stainless steel hinge pins, six patented trigger-release latches, and six reinforced padlock holes. Three comfortable, rubber-overmolded, cushioned grip handles snap into vertical/horizontal position for convenient carrying, and to aid transporting are in-line skate-style wheels.
This case is made in the USA and as with all of their ATA-rated hard cases, SKB will cover up to $1500 to repair or replace equipment damaged by a commercial airline carrier while secured in the case, no registration required.
