Shure MXW neXt 2 Wireless Two-Presenter System Kit with Two Cardioid Lavalier Mics (1.9 GHz)

The MXWAPXD2 from Shure is the multifunction base unit at the heart of the MXW neXt 2 wireless conferencing system for classrooms, conference spaces, and presentations. This expandable two-channel hybrid system offers a wealth of connectivity options that allow for a mixture of local and remote participants and features a host of built-in DSP functions that provide clear, intelligible audio, ensuring everybody gets heard. The transceiver works with an array of bodypack, handheld, and boundary microphone transmitters (available separately), allowing you to mix and match the components that best suit your needs.

The Shure MXW1Xis a bodypack transmitter with a built-in microphone designed for use with a neXt Access Point Transceiver (available separately) as part of the MXW neXt wireless conferencing system for classrooms, conference spaces, presentations, and events.

The MXW neXt is an expandable two-, four-, or eight-channel hybrid system with a wealth of connectivity options, allowing for a mixture of local and remote participants. The system is quick and easy to set up and features a host of built-in DSP functions that provide clear, intelligible audio. Lightweight and ergonomic, the MXW1X offers a TA4M input jack for connecting a lavalier or headworn microphone (available separately) as well as an integrated omnidirectional microphone for picking up speech while the bodypack is on a lanyard or tucked into a shirt pocket.

The black Shure WL185m is a discreet, low-profile cardioid lavalier microphone well suited to a wide variety of interview, presentation, broadcast, and film/video applications. Not only does the lav offer a profile that is 8mm shorter then previous models, the WL185m delivers better audio quality with an improved presence response, higher dynamic range, and lower self-noise for crystal clear speech and vocals.

Optimized for a 5 VDC plug-in power source, the mic features a 4' cable terminating in a TA4F connector for use with a compatible Shure wireless bodypack transmitter or similar device. A snap-fit windscreen and adjustable lapel clip that offers 90° rotation for optimal mic placement are included. A zippered storage pouch is also supplied.

The cardioid polar pattern focuses sound capture on the talent wearing the mic, picking up less audio from surrounding sources and helping to reduce feedback from sound-reinforcement equipment.

The electret condenser capsule in this TA4F version of the WL185m offers a 120.5 dB dynamic range and a very low self-noise of only 20 dB SPL. It can also handle up to 140.5 dB SPL with only 1% total harmonic distortion (THD), providing headroom for broadcast-quality interviews, speech, and dialog.

With a frequency range from 70 Hz to 20 kHz, the mic filters out unnecessary low frequencies and provides extended high-end range for accurate and transparent speech reproduction.
