This Sennheiser SL Bodypack - MKE 2 KIT DW-4 combines a compact and robust Speechline SL Bodypack DW digital wireless transmitter with a black, subminiature MKE 2 omnidirectional, sweat- and moisture-resistant lavalier microphone for clear and intelligible speech and lecture applications. A BA 30 rechargeable battery pack is also included.

The SpeechLine Digital Wireless SL Bodypack DW-4-US from Sennheiser is an SL Series wireless transmitter optimized for speech. It can be used when paired with an optional wireless receiver and microphone in applications for meetings, lectures, conferences presentations where every word matters. In addition, it is compatible with all Sennheiser microphones such as the SL Headmic 1 or MKE 1 (sold separately).

Featuring bi-directional communication between transmitter and receiver, the automatic frequency and interference management allows for convenient and reliable operation, which means the SL bodypack requires no settings to be adjusted. The LC display provides the link name, battery status and reception quality, and the easy-to-access mute-slider makes the use of the microphone very convenient.

Furthermore, the SL bodypack comes with a rechargeable BA 30 accupack that is built with external charging contacts – for easy charging with the CHG 2 and a USB socket. It provides up to 15 hours of operating time on a full charge. Finally, Sennheiser Control Cockpit software (download) offers easy handling, control, and maintenance for the SpeechLine Digital Wireless System. It provides a global overview of all network-enabled devices, shows all status information, and makes setting adjustments very easy.

The black Sennheiser MKE 2 is a tough, subminiature lavalier microphone renowned for its dependable performance among industry professionals, including broadcast and field audio engineers, theater performers, presenters, and film/video crews. The mic’s dual-diaphragm design resists sweat and moisture, while the tiny size offers a discreet appearance that’s easy to conceal—even resisting contact and rustling noise when hidden in clothing and costumes.

With its wide 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range and ability to handle up to 142 dB SPL, the MKE 2 lav provides clear, intelligible reproduction of speech, dialog, and vocals. The microphone's omnidirectional polar pattern picks up sound from 360° around the capsule, helping to deliver consistent levels, even when the talent turns away from the mic capsule.

The MKE 2 is available with a variety of connectors to accommodate wireless transmitters and other compatible equipment. This model features a locking 3.5mm connector wired for Sennheiser transmitters. Two frequency caps are supplied, allowing you to tailor the high-end frequency response depending on the application. Accessories include the MZQ222 mic clip and the MZW2 windscreen.

The MKE 2's subminiature profile enables the microphone to be used on stage or on camera while remaining inconspicuous. The mic can easily be hidden beneath clothing or costumes, while the stranded, steel-reinforced cable is designed to minimize clothing and rustling noise.
