Product highlights and buying context
This value kit from Fotohaus Klinger combines a Sennheiser MKH 50 Supercardioid Microphone with an Auray DUSM-1 universal shockmount and an Auray BP-47A aluminum boompole (7.5')—with its own Neoprene carry bag. Two Kopul XLR cable are included—10 and 1.5'. There is also a Rycote Classic Softie windscreen for outdoors shoots. The MKH 50 microphone deliver a clear, crisp directional sound with enhanced low end, ideal for professional-sounding interviews, films, YouTube videos, and more.
The MKH 50 P48 Microphone from Sennheiser is a high quality, professional condenser microphone specifically designed for spot capturing in recording and sound reinforcement applications. The MKH 50 offers exceptional attenuation at the lateral sections of the capsule, for a focused pick up without off-axis noise. Its wide frequency response and high sensitivity result in pristine audio fidelity, no matter the source. It also has a low-frequency roll-off switch to minimize rumble/noise, and a pre-attenuation switch in case you'll mount the microphone near to high transients. The MKH 50 requires +48V phantom power, and is more than suitable for capturing vocals or instruments.
The Auray BP-47A is a 4-section, aluminum boompole that combines an anti-twist tube design with ergonomic twist locks to offer smooth telescoping and hassle-free, one-handed operation—great for adjusting the length quickly, on the fly when filming documentary, ENG, or reality-style videos. The boompole has a collapsed length of 2.5', an extended length of 7.5', and weighs only 1.6 lb. The sections are made of lightweight aluminum tubes designed for portability and durability.
An internal, coiled cable with a side-exit XLR connector makes it easy to extend or retract the boompole while streamlining your setup with fewer cables to carry. The custom, removable head tip and drop-through design allow for cable reconfiguration without any soldering required. High-quality Rean and Neutrik connectors are used for reliable signal transfer and uncompromised performance, even in challenging environments.
Rycote's Classic Softieprovides optimum wind diffusion and noise rejection while remaining cost effective. This Classic Softie features a large hole and measures 1.96" / 5cm long, accommodating the Sennheiser MKH 20, MKH 40, and MKH 50, and BeyerDynamic MCE 72 microphones.
The Kopul Studio Elite 4000 Series XLR M to XLR F Microphone Cable (10') is a studio-quality cable for connecting mics to mixers, preamps, audio interfaces, and recorders or to be used in any other application where XLR connectivity is required. The cable is engineered to be both quiet and durable, and is well suited for critical recording and broadcast situations.
Studio Elite 4000 Series cables are made from 24 AWG OFC copper wire that's wrapped with PE insulation and a conductive PVC inner shield. A cotton-yarn inner layer helps reduce electrostatic and microphonic noise. A 98% braided outer shield makes the cable resistant to EMI and RFI noise. The Neutrik XX silver connectors provide a high level of connectivity, and all the solder connections are shrink-wrapped for protection.
Twin-conductive PVC inner shielding provides 100% coverage of the core conductor. It helps keep the cable's signal from radiating and affecting nearby cables, and also helps prevent external EMI from penetrating to the cable's core.
