The Saramonic CineBuff CB-DC is a professional slide-on furry windshield designed for mid-sized shotgun microphones, providing effective wind protection for outdoor and windy recording environments. Its low-profile design stays unobtrusive whether the microphone is mounted on-camera or on a boom pole. Compatible with numerous popular shotgun microphones from Saramonic, Sennheiser, Rode, Sony, Deity, Audio-Technica, Shure, Schoeps, Azden, and more, it provides an extremely affordable solution for capturing quality sound in challenging weather conditions.
The CB-DC delivers 360° Level 6 wind protection for wind speeds up to 31 mph, reducing wind noise by up to 40 dB with very little high-frequency loss. Its multi-layered construction combines an open-cell mesh interior with a 23mm (0.9") long faux fur exterior to provide effective wind diffusion and noise rejection. The design creates a controlled air space around the microphone to reduce wind noise without muffling the sound.
A secure rubber base and flexible opening allow the CineBuff to fit snugly over compatible shotgun microphones. It accommodates microphones measuring 17 to 24mm in diameter with interference tubes measuring 4.72 to 6.69" in length. The simple slip-on design provides reliable wind protection while maintaining a compact profile for camera-mounted and boom-pole applications.
