This unit has eight SATA III 6 Gb/s drive bays, all of which natively support 3.5" hard drives as well as 2.5" hard drives and SSDs. Should users need to expand the overall capacity of their TVS-h874T, optional expansion units may be connected. Also featured are two Thunderbolt 4 ports, one USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port, and two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, and one USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port, which allow it to be connected to external peripherals. You can also output video to an external display at resolutions up to 4096 x 2160 at 30 Hz using the HDMI 1.4b port. Network connectivity is achieved via the two 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports with port trunking failover support, which helps to provide redundancy in the case that a LAN connection malfunction occurs on one port.
The TVS-h874T runs on the QTS 5.1.0 operating system. Supported RAID modes include RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, and 60, each of which provides redundancy, performance, or a combination of both. For those who do not require a RAID, JBOD and Single are also available, allowing each drive bay to be individually utilized.
QNAP has engineered the TVS-h874T to be energy efficient. Not only does it offer dual 120mm system fans and a 60mm CPU fan, the server supports numerous scheduled power on / off cycles and hard-drive hibernation to further minimize power consumption and operation expenses. The TVS-h874T operates using internal 350W power supply and includes an Ethernet cable, a power cord, 32 flat head screws for 3.5" HDDs, 24 flat head screws for 2.5" HDDs, and two M.2 SSD heatsinks. Protection is provided by a limited 3-year hardware warranty.

The TVS-h874T has two Thunderbolt 4 ports and works with Macs using Apple Silicon (such as M1 and M2 chips) and Intel processors, plus Windows PCs. Photographers/videographers using external USB4 or common USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 SSDs can easily import files with the One-Touch-Copy function of their NAS.
Please note that the TVS-h874T adopts Thunderbolt Networking technology and provides a maximum bandwidth of 20 Gb/s.

Please note that QNAP JBOD enclosures can only be used as an independent storage pool or volume and cannot be combined with the storage pool or disk volume of the NAS host. NAS applications can only be installed on the host NAS.
