The TS-262A 2-Bay NAS Enclosure from QNAP is a smart high-capacity storage hub that is great for backing up photos and files, virtually anytime and anywhere. Driven by a 2.0 GHz Intel Celeron N5095 4-Core processor and 4GB of DDR4 RAM, this NAS connects to your networking a 2.5GbE RJ45 port and has two 3.5" SATA III 6 Gb/s drive bays, both of which support 3.5 or 2.5" hard drives and SSDs. Also available are dual M.2 2280 NVMe SSD slots that may be used for creating additional internal storage volumes or SSD caching. External peripherals and expansion units, such as the TL-D800C and TR-002/TR-004, may be connected using two 10 Gb/s USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports or two 480 Mb/s USB-A 2.0 ports.

The TS-262A runs on the QTS 5.2.9 operating system. Supported RAID modes include RAID 0, for performance, and RAID 1, for 1:1 data redundancy. For those who do not require a RAID, JBOD and Single are also available, allowing each drive bay to be individually utilized. An integrated 70mm fan helps keep operating temperatures under control. Included are an Ethernet cable, a power cord, an AC adapter, and flat head screws for 2.5" and 3.5" drives.

The sliding cover design makes it easy to install hard drives without tools. The drives are hot-swappable, making maintenance worry-free. With the user-friendly QTS NAS operating system, you'll instantly understand how to back up, access, and share your data.

The TS-262A is powered by an Intel Celeron N5095 Quad-Core processor (up to 2.9 GHz) and supports up to 16GB of memory. Its AES-NI hardware encryption engine safeguards the contents of your files, while Intel UHD Graphics accelerates video decoding and transcoding for smoother playback. With a single 2.5GbE port (backward compatible with 1Gb/100Mb), the TS-262A delivers smooth performance for daily multitasking, making it ideal for personal, home, and small office use cases like file storage, media streaming, and video surveillance.

The TS-262A features two built-in M.2 PCIe slots that support high-speed M.2 2280 NVMe SSDs (sold separately). You can create a fast SSD storage volume or enable SSD cache acceleration to enjoy smoother and faster data access. You can also pair it with Qtier auto-tiering technology to intelligently allocate hot and cold data, optimizing overall storage performance and space efficiency.

Note: Installing M.2 SSD heatsinks is recommended to enhance the stability and lifespan of your SSDs.
