Promise Technology Pegasus5 R12 48TB 12-Bay Thunderbolt 5 RAID Array (12 x 4TB)

Unleash your creativity with the Pegasus5 R12 48TB 12-Bay Thunderbolt 5 RAID Array from Promise Technology, a storage solution that delivers massive capacity, fast performance, and solid reliability, whether in the studio or on set. Thanks to data transfer speeds of up to 3000 MB/s, users will be able to engage in multi-stream editing of 4K, 6K, and 8K content. Featuring twelve drive bays equipped with 12 x 4TB SATA III 3.5" hard drives, this 48TB array uses a hardware-based controller that supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, and 60 configurations, while operations are kept cool using intelligent cooling. Connectivity to your host system is established using an 80 Gb/s Thunderbolt 5 port, which provides up to 85W of power, while two additional Thunderbolt 5 ports provide 15W of power and are available for daisy-chaining, including adding three 4K displays, dual 6K displays, or one 8K display. The Pegasus5 R12 is compatible with Windows 11 and macOS 15 or later and included is a 3.3' Thunderbolt 5 cable and a power cord.

The Pegasus5 R12 is a next-generation storage platform for digital media creators. With Thunderbolt 5, a compact 12-bay design, and the PromiseRAID engine with Predictive Data Migration (PDM), it delivers smooth, reliable workflows in a whisper-quiet, compact solution.

Harness the 80 Gb/s Thunderbolt 5 interface, enabling fast throughput for demanding creative applications at speeds up to 3000 MB/s.

This compact desktop enclosure supports up to twelve 3.5" SATA HDDs, scaling 48TB of raw storage, with whisper quiet operations and hot-swap drive replacement for minimal downtime.

Built for modern production pipelines, Pegasus5 R12 supports multi-stream editing of 4K, 6K, and 8K content, ensuring smooth playback and uncompromised performance in professional environments.

The Pegasus5 R12 is equipped with the PromiseRAID hardware engine for performance and reliability. Exclusive PDM technology continuously analyzes drive health, predicts issues, and automatically migrates data before failure occurs.

Pegasus5 R12 series inherits the excellent power management features of PROMISE storage systems. If the host computer enters sleep mode, is shut down, or if the Thunderbolt connection is disconnected, the Pegasus5 R12 series enters reduced power state.
