From office presentations to public performances, the PT-FRQ60 6000-Lumen UHD 4K Laser DLP Projector from Panasonic is packed with features to help you more easily and consistently deliver sharp, rich, 4K images. The PT-FRQ60 features a 1-chip DLP system with a laser light source, which works with Panasonic's Quad Pixel Drive and Rich Color Enhancer to transform 1080p native resolution to a color-optimized 4K projection. Images can then be easily aligned with many surface types using joystick-controlled V/H lens shift, 2x zoom, and Panasonic's Free Grid. In addition to providing high-quality images and convenient setup options, the PT-FRQ60 also has a wide array of functions to deal with projection challenges, such as variations in ambient lighting, internal diode failure, and more.
Both Quad Pixel Drive and Rich Color Enhancer are core imaging technologies from Panasonic that help to deliver stunning 4K images with optimal brightness and color. Quad Pixel Drive helps resolution by rapidly shifting Full HD pixels vertically and horizontally to achieve 4K-like results.
Rich Color Enhancer is color optimization via two user-selectable modes. Dynamic mode will offer you brighter images by balancing brightness and color in well-lit environments. Standard/Graphic mode optimizes color reproduction by adjusting the color-wheel timing to expand the red-channel output. This is designed to produce more natural and vibrant reds as well as deep, rich, and accurate colors that are faithful to the source.
Without a PC, you can use the included remote control to fix projected image distortion caused by irregular surfaces and objects. A grid is overlaid onto the projected image, allowing you to more intuitively make adjustments. To assist in this, you can choose from 2x2, 4x4, 8x8, or 16x16 grids. You can also change the grid and control-point colors for better contrast on your projected image, all while your progress is being saved automatically.
Remote Preview Lite allows the projectionist to check signal connectivity and evaluate changes to the image when selected projector image adjustment settings are changed, by previewing input video on a laptop screen. Remote Preview Lite works even when the projector is in Standby mode and eliminates the need for on-screen projection immediately before the presentation commences. It reduces the chance of display issues before the performance, and if an error is detected, it helps narrow down the possible cause to the input signal chain.
Thanks to robust construction and its laser light source, the PT-FRQ60 is capable of being used in prolonged installations that require constant, 24/7 operation. Construction features filter-less head pipe-based cooling and a hermetically sealed optical block to protect the lens from ambient dust. Together, they equate to approximately 20,000 hours of maintenance-free operation.
4K DIGITAL LINK lets you conveniently transmit your content over long distances, requiring only a single Ethernet connection at the installation location. You can transmit uncompressed 4K60 footage and control commands via Cat 5e or higher from up to 164' away. If 10/100BASE-T is all that's available, you can utilize that for control signals, freeing up 4K DIGITAL LINK for only video content. Ethernet connectivity also gives you the ability to clone a projector's settings for larger installations, letting you copy settings to up to 99 other projectors.
This technology limits brightness loss if a single diode fails in the projector. Also, the multi-laser drive engine provides redundant laser modules to maintain image quality in case a module fails, which is essential for installations or important presentations that cannot be interrupted.
Six levels of user-selectable light adjustment to combat the effect of ambient light changes, boosting color impact, sharpness, gamma curves, brightness, and more.
This feature modulates the light output to achieve a high-contrast image with less power. Also, digital frame-by-frame scene-linking can ensure precise light output adjustment for accurate contrast.
When using multiple projectors, sensors detect color and brightness on screen and then automatically calibrate the projectors for a more uniform multi-screen image.
