OM SYSTEM OM-3 ASTRO Mirrorless Camera

A purpose-built camera for astrophotography, the OM-3 ASTRO, from OM SYSTEM, is a specialized Micro Four Thirds mirrorless body featuring adjusted optical characteristics that enable recording red nebulae, constellations, and other nighttime phenomena.

Beyond the modified camera, there are also a pair of optional specialized filters to enhance the quality and clarity of astro and starry sky photos. Both of these filter are body mount filters, too, and can be inserted within the lens mount to make them usable with any attached lens, including fisheyes and ultra-wides:

• The BMF-LPC01 Light Suppression Filter cuts stray light from artificial light sources, like street lamps, for more vividness and clarity when photographing near cities.
• The BMF-SE01 Soft Filter can slightly blur and soften the point light rendering of stars to make them appear more significant within the frame.

The OM-3 delivers flagship-level performance, customizable creative tools, and robust video capabilities, making it a great camera for a range of astro and starry sky scenes. Adopting the 20MP Stacked BSI Live MOS MFT Sensor, TruePic X engine, and the 1053 AF points native to the OM-1 Mark II, this compact system proves to be a giant in capabilities.
