Product highlights and buying context
Enjoy premium sound with the Neumann KH 120 II, a 2-way active studio monitor well suited for near-field monitoring and multichannel setups in music studios, broadcast centers, and vans, as well as home studios and desktop audio applications. The KH 120 II utilizes a 145W amplifier to power the 5.25" woofer and a 100W amplifier to power the 1" tweeter. The monitor features an onboard DSP engine, Mathematically Modeled Dispersion waveguide (MMD), XLR analog input, S/PDIF (RCA) inputs and outputs, and an extensive range of optional mounting hardware.
The DSP function is accessed via a standard IP network and allows for room calibration using Neumann's revolutionary Automatic Monitor Alignment system. The MA 1 (sold separately) makes sure your DSP-powered monitors are optimally adapted to your room's characteristics and perfectly calibrated for your listening position. With the use of the latest acoustic and electronic simulation and measurement technologies, the KH 120 II can be used in diverse acoustical conditions with any source equipment and in a wide variety of physical locations, ensuring accurate sound reproduction.
The KH 120 II is a powerful bi-amplified studio monitor with reference-class performance. Its 5.25" woofer in a bass-reflex cabinet provides stunning low-end and high-end SPL capability with undiminished clarity. DSP-controlled electronics ensure linear phase response and allow for room-adaptive calibration using Neumann's revolutionary MA 1 Automatic Monitor Alignment system.
The KH 120 II follows the same philosophy as all Neumann studio monitors: highest linearity, lowest distortion, no coloration, and perfect adaptability to any acoustic environment. It allows you to hear every nuance of your tracks. Once you eliminate the guesswork, mixing becomes so much faster and easier, not to mention more creative. It sounds amazing, but can you get away with that? Is that vocal bright or sibilant? Is it too much bass? The KH 120 II will tell you—honestly.
