Movo Photo VXR3030 Camera-Mount Shotgun Microphone

With its focused directional sound pickup and simple operation, the Movo Photo VXR3030 camera-mount shotgun microphone is well suited for run-and-gun shooters, vloggers, and mobile journalists in need of a budget-friendly upgrade from their camera's built-in mic. Two AA batteries provide up to 150 hours of run time and a power switch lets you turn off the mic to conserve battery life.

The compact and lightweight VXR3030 incorporates an integrated shockmount that mounts directly to your camera or tripod and reduces noise from vibrations and camera handling. Foam and furry windscreens are included for reduction of wind noise during indoor or outdoor shoots. Thanks to the attached 3.5mm TRS cable, you'll be able quickly connect the VXR3030 to your camera or portable audio recorder.

The built-in microphones on cameras are typically omnidirectional, so they pick up sound from all directions. The VXR3030 relies on a supercardioid polar pattern to deliver directional characteristics that allow it to focus on sound in front of it while attenuating sound from the sides and rear, yielding recordings with less background noise.

A coiled 3.5mm cable is permanently attached to the mic so you never have to worry about losing the cord. The cable's right-angle 3.5mm TRS plug ensures compatibility with the standard 3.5mm mic input on your camera or portable recorder.

Two AA batteries (available separately) will power the VXR3030 for up to 150 hours. Use the power switch to conserve battery life when the mic is not in use. The dedicated power LED lets you know if the VXR3030 is on or off.

The VXR3030 features an integrated four-point suspension mount for simple, efficient setup and reduced noise from vibrations and camera handling. The bottom of the shockmount features a camera shoe mount with a 1/4" thread, ensuring proper attachment to your camera or a tripod.

Use the included foam windscreen to reduce unwanted wind noise from breezes, fans, heaters, and air conditioners when working indoors. For maximum reduction of wind noise during outdoor shoots, switch to the supplied furry windscreen.

Expand the microphone's device compatibility with Movo Photo accessories such as the MC3 and F-XLR (both available separately). The MC3 is a short cable that lets you connect the VXR3030 directly to a smartphone or tablet equipped with a 3.5mm TRRS jack. The F-XLR adapter is ideal when you need to plug the VXR3030 into a camcorder or mixer that has XLR inputs.
