Matica XID8300 Single-Sided Retransfer ID Card Printer with Magnetic Stripe Encoder & Contactless Chip Encoder

With a magnetic stripe encoder and contactless chip encoder, the versatile XID8300 Single-Sided Retransfer ID Card Printer is a well-featured printer that utilizes dye sublimation and thermal transfer processes to quickly create 300 dpi resolution prints. This single-sided printer works with CR-80 adhesive back card sizes and can print over-the-edge retransfer printing. The printer is also fast with the ability to print 120 cards per hour in single-side mode. The printer can also hold 200 cards in the input hopper and 100 cards in the output hopper. The XID8300 provides easy setup and operation. It has USB 2.0 and Ethernet for connecting to a computer or network. This printer includes a magnetic stripe card encoder, which stores data by modifying the magnetism of tiny iron-based particles on a band of magnetic material on the card. It also features a contactless chip encoder, which can be added inline to most of Matica's centralized and desktop card issuance systems. Contactless smart cards also have an embedded integrated chip. However, they differ from contact smart cards in the way that information is encoded to, or read from the chip. Instead of contact pads, the IC in a contactless card is connected to a RFID antenna enabling communication through radio waves.
