The Lynx Studio Technology Aurora(_n_)LYN-AN08M24-HD2is preconfigured with 8 analog inputs and 8 analog outputs on two DB-25 connectors, plus the LM-A24 analog module that not only provides two line-level analog inputs and four line-level analog outputs, but also brings an additional two channels of A/D conversion and four channels of D/A conversion. This configuration is equipped with a Lynx LT-HD2 Pro Tools HD & HDX interface card that emulates the interface characteristics of the Avid HD I/O converter, allowing seamless operation with Avid systems including HDX and HD Native.
The Aurora(_n_)LYN-AN08M24-HD2 is a mastering-grade, 10-in / 12-out AD/DA converter, which supports up to 24-bit / 192 kHz conversion. Design and technology borrowed from the development of Hilo converters is used to significantly improve specifications and transparency over previous models, while attaining stunning Hilo-like performance. Ideal for audio engineers and producers who demand the most pristine recordings and mixes, the Aurora(_n_)delivers coloration- and degradation-free signal for mission-critical audio applications in studios, mastering facilities, remote recordings, and broadcast and live performance facilities.
The unit features an onboard microSD player/recorder capable of up to 32 channels of direct recording and playback, ideal when working in the field. Two headphone outputs with independent volume control let you monitor your sound with audiophile-grade precision, while a bright TFT LCD display gives you immediate access to all levels and functions right from the front panel.
Preinstalled LM-A24 Analog Module
- The LM-A24 is a two-input, four-output line-level module for the Aurora(_n_) platform, offering TRS connectivity and precise level control for monitor outputs.
- Designed to match the transparent performance of other Aurora(_n_) modules, it provides +24 dBu I/O levels for compatibility with pro studio gear.
- Ideal for setups requiring a small number of dedicated I/Os without a breakout cable, the LM-A24 excels at driving powered monitors and supports speaker protection via anti-pop relays and a low-distortion analog attenuator.
Preinstalled Lynx LT-HD2 Pro Tools HD and HDX Interface Card
- The LT-HD2 allows the Aurora(_n_) to be used in all current Pro Tools HD systems.
- Connected via mini-Digilink cables (available separately) to HD Core, Accel Core, HDX, or Native cards, Pro Tools recognizes the Aurora(_n_) converter and controls all input and output functions, clocking, routing, and other settings.
- The LT-HD2 features one Primary and one Expansion mini-DigiLink port. Aurora(_n_) supports full channel count at sample rates up to 192 kHz.
- Pro Tools users can benefit from Lynx’s proprietary SynchroLock 2 wordclock technology for very low jitter and low distortion of digital signals.
Discrete Converter Array
- The analog signal path for each channel has been designed as a self-contained and shielded circuit. Each channel pair has its own dedicated conversion device. This offers many sonic advantages like significantly reducing crosstalk and distortion, while increasing dynamic range and performance.
SynchroLock 2 Sample-Clock Technology
- Proprietary, SynchroLock 2 high-performance sample-clock technology provides a whopping 300,000:1 reduction in jitter, 5-second lock time, and absolute accuracy.
- Wordclock I/O provides one input and three outputs on BNC connectors.
Futureproof LSlot Design
Add Channels: * Start with eight, sixteen, or twenty-four channels, and later add additional groups of eight channels for up to thirty two total.
Add Connectivity Options:
- Thunderbolt, Dante, or USB, via LSlot cards (available separately).
