Product highlights and buying context
Designed for the visually impaired, this Braille ALBA Keyboard from LogicKeyboard will help blind users navigate a keyboard. It can also assist users who are learning braille. Compatible with Mac, this keyboard uses a scissor switch key mechanism, connects to your host system using a wired USB-A cable with plug-and-play, and has two USB-A 2.0 ports for accessories, each of which provides up to 100mA of charging power. Also featured are three LED indicators for Caps Lock, fn Lock, and Power as well as lift extender legs. Leg lift provides a typing angle of 8.5°, which becomes 4° when not in use.
LogicKeyboard partnered with an ergonomic therapist to determine ALBA's optimum angle. The solution is a typing angle of 8.5° with leg lift and 4.5° without leg lift. Key travel can't be too big or too small, so the ALBA keyboard has a key travel of 4mm.
The scissor-switch mechanism gives each key increased stability during typing.
LogicKeyboard loves convenience, which is why the wired ALBA keyboard has two built-in USB-A 2.0 ports, each with 100mA of charging power.
