It installs onto the ends of the tripod legs and provides rubber feet to secure the legs onto the spreader and prevent sliding. It is designed to keep the tripod's legs from twisting and adds support on flat surfaces, and each shaft can be adjusted using a slider secured with a locking knob. A center ring allows you to collapse the spreader with one motion.

The Libec RC-40 Carrying Case (Black) is a non-padded, vinyl case designed to carry a Libec RT-40 tripod with an RH-40 tripod head attached. It is carried by a handle or a removable, adjustable shoulder strap.
