The parabolic dish design focuses the sound energy from a large area onto a single point, zeroing in on your subject, while rejecting unwanted ambient noise from the side and back of the mic. The shape of the dish shields the microphone from wind noise, making it ideal for outdoors use. For additional wind protection, use the acoustically transparent KM-09-WC wind cover (available separately).
The included Equalized XLR Lapel Mic lavalier microphone requires phantom power. Please confirm that your camera or recorder provides phantom power, or use a preamplifier that supplies phantom power.
