This 2-stop MovieMate Magnetic Circular Soft-Edge Graduated ND Filter from Kase is a 95mm unthreaded magnetic filter made to fit the MovieMate Magnetic Matte Box. It darkens specific areas of an image, such as bright skies, while allowing for a normal, unaffected exposure in the other regions of the image. This filter is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a soft-edged line of transition between the dense and clear areas, darkening the sky with no effect on the land. A soft edge is appropriate for use where the transition between sky and foreground is indeterminate, such as images featuring mist, fog, or the tops of trees.

Made of shockproof optical glass, this filter is multicoated and features an IR-cut coating for accurate light and color transmission. It also has a scratch-resistant and waterproof coating for use in harsh environments with easy cleaning.
