Icon Pro Audio Space 251 Large-Diaphragm Multi-Pattern Tube Condenser Microphone

The Space 251 from Icon Pro Audio provides producers, engineers, and musicians with a versatile large-diaphragm, multi-pattern tube condenser microphone based on the legendary Telefunken 251, which graced recordings by Bruce Springsteen, Beyonce, Celine Dion, Shirley Manson of Garbage, and Tom Petty. Designed to be a studio staple for a wide variety of applications, the Space 251 sports a retro-futuristic appearance perfectly in tune with the warm, velvety tones and smooth top-end sparkle the mic imparts to vocals and instruments.

• The Space 251 boasts exceptional tone and character, thanks to its top-tier components, including a 12AY7 tube, WIMA capacitors, Fairchild resistors, and renowned, handcrafted Cinemag transformers. The mic includes a high-quality 7-pin cable designed to seamlessly link your microphone to the power supply. This cable plays a pivotal role, handling both audio and voltage transmission for the tube through distinct pins.
• The outer shell showcases a stunning glossy electroplated finish of the highest caliber, delivering a sophisticated and polished appearance. This aesthetic refinement seamlessly fits into the environment of both professional, top-tier facilities and intimate project studios. Additionally, the electroplated finish serves a dual purpose by contributing to the reduction of self-noise within the microphone.
• In addition to the power supply and cable, the Space 251 includes a shockmount to isolate the microphone from vibrations. The shockmount also accommodates the included magnetic pop filter, which helps to reduce plosives and vocal pops for clearer recordings.
