Product highlights and buying context
Store and archive data with the StoreEver LTO-8 Ultrium 30750 External Tape Drive with SAS from Hewlett Packard. This system features LTO-8 Ultrium 30750 recording technology with tape drives that can write 32 tracks simultaneously on a linear format of 3584 tracks and 6656 tracks respectively. It also has a 30TB compressed storage capacity that's complete with data transfer rates of up to 300 MB/s. In addition to enhanced transfer rates, this drive also helps to keep your data secure as it supports the 256-bit AES encryption standard. Other helpful features include a 1024MB buffer size, a 6 Gb/s SAS host interface, and a 5.25" half-height form factor.
The StoreEver LTO-8 Ultrium 30750 is an eighth-generation LTO tape drive that's capable of storing up to 30TB (compressed 2.5:1) per cartridge while providing ease of use with support for LTFS and AES 256-bit hardware data encryption and easy-to-enable security to protect the most sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access.
Capable of data transfer rates up to 300 MB/s (native), its Speed Matching feature further optimizes performance by matching the host speed to keep drives streaming and increase the reliability of the drive and media.
The StoreEver LTO LTO-8 Ultrium 30750 is a half-height drive designed for server customers in direct attached storage (DAS) environments.
For IT organizations with stringent, long-term data retention requirements, the Ultrium 30750's WORM (Write-Once, Read-Many) data protection feature offers a simple and secure method for archiving records as part of a compliance solution.
The Ultrium 30750 tape drives provide investment protection with full read and write backward support with LTO-7 media.
By doubling the native capacity of previous-generation Ultrium drives, this tape storage drive requires fewer data cartridges to meet storage needs, which significantly reduces IT costs and increases return on investment.
