Haida Greystone Multicoated ND Filter (82mm, 6-Stop)

How to Use ND Filters: An Introduction Read More

This 6-stop, 82mm Haida Greystone Multi-Coated ND Filter features an ultra-thin aircraft-grade aluminum filter ring that is only 0.122" thick, which helps prevent vignetting on wider lenses or when stacking multiple filters. This filter evenly reduces exposure by 6-stops making it suitable for still, movie, and video applications. For still photos, the 6-stop reduction allows you to take pictures with a long exposure time, which can help create ethereal-looking landscapes that are both sharply in focus yet have a blurred effect on portions of the frame with moving subjects such as waves. With movie and video productions, the 6-stop reduction allows you to shoot with a wide-open aperture and gain control over your depth of field.
