The Genelec 8380A SAM Main Monitor brings studio-grade accuracy, high headroom, and uncolored sound reproduction to the forefront of professional monitoring. With its pinpoint-precise coaxial driver, powerful 15-inch woofer, and 122 dB maximum SPL, the 8380A ensures pristine clarity, stable imaging, and truthful playback in any medium or large control room, mix stage, or high-fidelity listening environment.

As part of Genelec’s Smart Active Monitoring (SAM) family, the 8380A works seamlessly with Genelec Loudspeaker Manager (GLM) software. GLM enables automatic room calibration, delay alignment, level matching, and flexible system configuration—from stereo setups to large-scale immersive environments. Whether free-standing or flush-mounted, vertically or horizontally, the 8380A adapts perfectly to your room and workflow.

Its identical physical dimensions and amplifier configuration to the classic 1038A, 1038B, and 1238A models make it a direct drop-in upgrade. The updated RAM-L2 amplifier is silently cooled and can be mounted remotely for convenience in built-in installations.

With excellent phase matching across the entire SAM range and compatibility within Genelec’s UNIO Ecosystem, the 8380A integrates effortlessly into both stereo and immersive systems. Its low-end extension often eliminates the need for a subwoofer, but for extended LFE performance, it pairs perfectly with Genelec subwoofers such as the 7380A.
