The included SSD-1 ensures secure destruction of data stored on solid-state drives, including laptop SSDs and solid-state hybrid drives (SSHDs) as well as flash, compact flash, thumb, and other USB drives. It has the piercing power of 90 spikes punctures from top and bottom to perforate and waffle media, demolishing the individual memory chips and preventing data from being retrieved.

The SCAN-1X series generates media destruction reports complete with date, time, user ID, serial number, and destruction verification. These detailed reports provide the audit-worthy documentation needed to verify data erasure and destruction.

Use this NSA-listed accessory to demolish data contained in solid-state media, flash thumb drives, and SSHD (solid-state hybrid drive) controller boards. Place media up to 0.5" high in the SSD-1's destruction chamber, then let the 90 spikes go to work. The drive(s) are punctured and waffled, preventing recorded data from being accessed.
