Each hard maple housing is hand-dyed with Awa indigo from Tokushiman, Japan. Developed in collaboration with professional artisans, the deep indigo blue highlights the wood grain excellently. Unlike plastic, wood is often preferred in high-end audio for its superior acoustic properties—naturally enhancing resonance, producing a warmer, more organic sound. The result is a rich, immersive listening experience that feels both natural and comfortable to the ear.

• The RP technology planar magnetic driver has been developed and manufactured in-house around for over 50 years and has continued to improve with each new version. Now in its 4th generation, it features an updated coil design that helps the thin, flat diaphragm move more evenly and efficiently. The number of magnets around the diaphragm has also been increased,giving it stronger and more controlled movement.
• The magnetic system has been redesigned to reduce unwanted vibrations and improve how quickly the driver responds to sound changes. Thanks to these upgrades, the new driver delivers better sound sensitivity, a smoother and more natural sound across all frequencies,and a faster, more accurate response to audio signals.
• As a result, you get a clearer soundstage and better sense of each sound's location in space. Plus, the new design is more power-efficient, so it can deliver great performance even with less power from your headphone amplifier.

Traditionally found in extreme high-end headphones, the T60RPmk2ai model features 7N-Grade internal cabling that eliminates impurities and enhances transition.

Both left and right housings are equipped with 3.5mm receptacles, adopting a newly developed Y-cable connection. The TS 3.5mm connectors improve cabling compatibility and versatility and feature high-quality OFC conductors.

Now included as a standard feature, the Toray Ultrasuede earpads are breathable and soft to the touch, and provide smooth, high-quality sound. And thanks to the low-rebound around-ear design, they ensure a comfortable experience for long listening sessions.
