Evno Microphone Systems BSX2 Wired Double Microphone System for Bassoon

Designed and manufactured by hand in the USA, the Evno BSX2 external bassoon microphone system has been engineered specifically for the tonal and dynamic needs of the bassoon and features a dual-microphone setup for enhanced tonal balance and projection. By placing one mic at the bell joint and another at the boot joint, the system captures the full acoustic range of the instrument with clarity and neutrality—delivering an uncolored, faithful representation of your sound. The BSX2 is well suited to orchestral, chamber, solo, and amplified environments, where even coverage and maximum gain before feedback are critical.

The BSX2 includes two microphones—one with a 5.5" gooseneck and one with a 6.5" gooseneck—allowing for precise placement at both the bell and boot joints. An integrated BSX2 clamp is included, designed to mount securely at either location with a padded Velcro strap and thumb screw. The lightweight Flex-stay goosenecks hold their position while allowing for quick adjustment, enabling optimal mic positioning without spin or slippage. This configuration ensures an even and complete pickup of the instrument's tone from top to bottom.

The BSX2 includes the Evno PS95 power supply for wired operation and includes two cables compatible with both the PS95 and Shure wireless systems. Each microphone features a 3-pin mini XLR output, allowing for integration with a wide range of wireless systems from Evno, Shure, Sennheiser, AKG, and McCormick (adapter cables for AKG and Sennheiser sold separately or available in bundled packages).
