Cloud Microphones Cloudlifter Mini CL-25 Single-Channel Mic Activator

The Cloudlifter Mini CL-25 Single-Channel Mic Activator from Cloud Microphonesdisplays the award-winning circuitry and performance that has come to be expected from Cloud, in a custom engineering collaboration with Neutrik.

The ultracompact in-line design thrives with dynamic, ribbon, and tube microphones to offer up to 25 dB of ultraclean gain. The smallest and most portable lift Cloud has produced for studio, broadcast, and live sound professionals, the Mini CL-25 is built utilizing a custom Neutrik gold-plated XLR connector system. Constructed with hard-soldered, wire-free internal circuitry designed to meet demands of thousands of hours of heavy use, it offers reliable and professional sound quality in the most intense live and studio environments. Ideal for fine instruments, difficult-to-capture sources, and nature recordings, the CL-25 employs discrete JFET circuitry and is made with care and respect on the Navajo reservation in the USA.

Applications

• Capturing quiet sources with passive microphones
• Podcasting, VoiceOver, or dialog with dynamic mics
• Live streaming, gaming, or remote conferencing
• Foley and nature recordings
• Recording delicate, difficult to capture sources and fine instruments
• Using low-output dynamic, ribbon, or tube mics in-studio or live
• Any source where more of mics’ natural character is desired
• Use at output of passive DI to get more from your instruments

Phantom Power Safe

• In order to use microphones requiring +48V phantom power, an additional source of phantom power is needed, such as a standalone +48V supply. The Cloudlifter does not pass phantom from the interface in order to protect ribbon mics and other sensitive equipment.
