Beyerdynamic MC 930 Stereo Set True Condenser Cardioid Microphones (Matched Pair)

High-Quality Stereo Recordings: XY and ORTF Techniques

The Beyerdynamic MC 930 Stereo Set is a matched pair of high-quality, small-diaphragm true-condenser microphones designed for professional stereo recording. The microphones feature a cardioid polar pattern, wide frequency response, high signal-to-noise ratio, switchable -15 dB attenuation and low-cut filter, and rugged metal housing. They are suitable for a wide range of applications, including recording acoustic guitar, piano, hi-hats, overheads, choirs, orchestras, vocals, and solo instruments. Common stereo recording techniques using the MC 930 Stereo Set include the XY technique and the ORTF technique. Each microphone in the stereo set is hand-selected by Beyerdynamic's experts to ensure perfectly matched frequency response and sensitivity, ensuring accurate stereo imaging. The set includes two elastic suspensions with integrated microphone clamps and two windshields, allowing you to start recording immediately.

Superior Cardioid Pattern

• The MC 930 features a near-frequency-independent cardioid polar pattern, prioritizing sound from the front while minimizing side and rear interference.
• This makes the mic highly resistant to crosstalk and ideal for capturing clear, focused recordings in both studio and live settings. Whether you're isolating a single instrument or managing complex soundscapes, this microphone provides exceptional control.

Lightning-Fast Response

• At the heart of the MC 930 is a meticulously handcrafted, true-condenser capsule, featuring a gold-vaporized diaphragm for lightning-fast transient response.
• This allows the microphone to capture the subtlest details and impulses with precision, ensuring natural and accurate sound reproduction.

Precision at Your Fingertips

• With a switchable -15 dB attenuation pad, the MC 930 handles high sound pressure levels with ease, making it suitable for loud instruments.
• Its integrated low-cut filter (6 dB/octave at 250 Hz) effectively reduces disruptive low-end frequencies caused by proximity effects or impact sounds, ensuring a clean, balanced recording.
• Compatible with 11–52V phantom power, this microphone is as versatile as it is powerful.

Built to Endure

• Encased in a durable metal housing, the MC 930 is designed to withstand the rigors of daily professional use.
• Strategically placed vents enhance its acoustic properties, while the robust, acoustically neutral, sintered disc protects the capsule without compromising sound quality.
• Even in the rare case of damage, Beyerdynamic's comprehensive service policy ensures that nearly every part can be replaced.
• The MC 930's lightweight, compact design makes positioning effortless, whether in the studio or on stage.

German Engineering at Its Best

• Handcrafted in Germany, the MC 930 reflects Beyerdynamic's commitment to excellence.
• Key components such as the true-condenser capsule, system suspension, and counter electrode are all manufactured in-house, ensuring a consistently high standard of quality. Every MC 930 is a testament to precision engineering and craftsmanship.
