Hypercardioid Precision

• Equipped with a hypercardioid polar pattern, the M 201 prioritizes sound from the front while rejecting side and rear signals.
• This design reduces room noise and enhances feedback resistance, making it ideal for use in loud or acoustically challenging environments.

Authentic Sound Reproduction

• With a frequency response of 40 Hz to 18 kHz, the M 201 delivers a natural and transparent sound that faithfully reproduces the original signal.
• Its flat frequency response and neutral tone allow flexibility for post-processing, making it indispensable for demanding audio setups.

Versatile for a Variety of Sources

• The M 201 excels in capturing clear, detailed audio, even at extremely high sound pressure levels.
• It is particularly favored for snare drums and electric guitar amps but is equally adept at recording acoustic guitars, brass instruments, and more.

Speech Recording for Podcasts

• The M 201 shines in speech recording and podcasting applications. Its excellent hypercardioid polar pattern minimizes room noise and interference, while a subtle treble boost ensures a balanced, articulate speech signal.
• Pair it with an optional windshield to effectively suppress plosives, achieving professional results with minimal effort.

Inside the M 201: Precision Engineering

• At the heart of the M 201 is a Hostaphan diaphragm, an ultralight, low-mass foil with exceptional vibration characteristics. This component ensures superior impulse response, setting the M 201 apart from typical dynamic microphones.
• Additionally, an integrated hum-compensation coil reduces electromagnetic interference, ensuring clean recordings, even in electronically dense environments.

Built to Last: Compact, Durable Design

• As a pencil-style microphone, the M 201’s compact size and low weight make it easy to position, even in tight spaces.
• Its rugged metal housing withstands daily wear and tear.
• With an excellent service policy, nearly every component of the M 201 is replaceable, ensuring a long service life.
• A durable hard case is included for added protection.
