The 500GB Aegis NVX USB 3.2 Gen 2 Portable SSD from Apricorn incorporates upper-level security features to deliver 256-bit AES XTS hardware protection, as well as an onboard keypad with PIN authentication to securely protect your data. The keypad operates independently of your host system, meaning that it circumvents hardware and software key logging attempts to capture passwords. The keypad is polymer-coated and wear-resistant, which prevents the drive's most commonly buttons from being revealed. Built with both Admin and User modes, admins will be able to control the universal programmable settings of the drive, while users will only have access to the basic drive functions. Other integrated features include a Brute Force Defense, which protects against brute force attacks, an unattended auto lock, a self-destruct PIN, LEDs to confirm successful button presses, and IP68 certification that protects against dust and water.

Built using a durable aluminum alloy housing, the Aegis NVX delivers read and write speeds of up to 1000 MB/s and connects to your host system using an integrated USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 cable that also provides bus power. Shock- and vibration-resistant, the Aegis NVX is compatible with Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, and Symbian systems, as well as other operating systems with a storage file system that's powered by USB.

Polymer-Coated Wear-Resistant Onboard Membrane Hybrid Keypad

This drive is unlocked by entering a PIN on the keypad and not the host computer's keyboard. Until the device is unlocked via its keypad, it remains invisible to the host. The embedded keypad circumvents all hardware and software key logging attempts to capture passwords by excluding the host system from the authentication process. The polymer-coated membrane-style keypad is wear-resistant to prevent revealing the drive's most commonly used buttons.

Separate Admin and User Mode

The Aegis NVX supports one independent Admin and four additional User PINs. The Admin mode controls the universal programmable settings of the device and can only be accessed with the Admin PIN. The User mode is limited to basic external drive functions like read/write, unlock/lock, etc. The data on the drive can also be accessed with the admin PIN in the User mode.
