Product highlights and buying context
This QAPL30-TX-S QPslim Boom Pole Adapter for Plug-on Transmitters from Ambient Recordinghas a 5-pin male XLR connector and is a great option to attach a plug-on transmitter to your internally wired QuickPoleslim series boom pole. The QAPL30-TX-S enables attaching your plug-on transmitter (not included) parallel to the tube when using an internally wired QuickPole with a coiled cable and lateral cable outlet. Mounting your transmitter on the bottom pole parallel instead of directly to your mic helps balance your pole, making it easier to "swing" your boom for long periods of time, and it also reduces strain on your mic's shockmount. The 5-pin XLR connector supports a stereo signal on a single connector and is for transmitters that have a 5-pin female XLR.
The Ambient Recording QAPL30 XLR-Clamp for Plug-On Transmitters allows you to mount your plug-on transmitter on your pole and attach the XLR plug of your QPslim pole's internal cable (located at the bottom side of the boompole). This clamp also mounts on QP 4140 and 480/QS boompoles. Please note that this is for the clamp only; to connect your transmitter to your boompole's internal cable, you need a separately available short adapter cable, in either 3- or 5-pin XLR to match your pole's internal cabling.
This Ambient Recording AK-QAPL-S Short Low-Profile 5-Pin XLR Cable is suitable for use when mounting a transmitter on an optional QuickPole Series 5 boom pole (both standard and slim). The cable outlets on each connector are set at 9 o'clock, and the ends each feature a gray cap, indicating that it is a 5-pin XLR connector for carrying a stereo audio signal. The cable features polyurethane construction and a braided shield for improved resistance to interference.
